Like lunar meteorites these meteorites are among the most thought-after and rarest on the market. Our newly classified Martian meteorites to the collector?s delight. The NWA 4925 (Northwest Africa 4925) is a martian meteorite, weighing 282.3 g, classified, olivine-phyric shergottite. The meteorite was found in northwest Africa and bought in Erfoud, Morocco. Shergottites are pieces of the crustal mantle of the planet Mars that were blown into orbit by an enormous meteorite impact hitting the red planet. This meteorite spent ages in space before it was caught by the earth's gravity and landed in the Libyan desert.

How do I know it's a real piece of Mars?

It may take 2 months to receive this for domestic October 24, 2014
Reviewer: Mark Ciotola from San Francisco, CA United States
I ordered the Mars rock over a month ago, but never received it. My account still lists the order as being in process. I emailed customer service, but never heard from them. Don't throw away your money by ordering this.

Update: Ordered the product on August 25, wrote the original review on October 1. The product was finally received on October 23 (59 days later). This was a domestic order. I wish the Space Shop would give advance notice of how long their fulfillment takes for this product.
