The B747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) are two extensively modified Boeing 747 airliners that NASA used to transport Space Shuttle orbiters. One is a 747-100 model, while the other is a short range 747-100SR. The SCAs were used to ferry Space Shuttles from landing sites back to the Shuttle Landing Facility at the Kennedy Space Center, and to and from other locations too distant for the orbiters to be delivered by ground transport. This specific model is the Boeing 747-100, registered as N905NA. It was originally manufactured for American Airlines, and then extensively modified by Boeing in 1976. Its cabin was stripped, mounting struts added, and the fuselage strengthened; vertical stabilizers were added to the tail to aid stability when the Orbiter was being carried. The avionics and engines were also upgraded, and an escape tunnel system was added.This handcrafted model is painstakingly built by our skilled craftsmen with a wealth of detail and makes a great gift for any space buff or history fan.

Some of our products are shipped directly from the supplier to our customers. Depending on the location of the particular supplier, the shipment may take up to ten days.
For 'oversized packages' and custom models, ACTUAL SHIPPING charges will apply and NOT what the shopping cart shows for shipping. The cart cannot compute over-sized packages. You will be notified what the shipping options and pricing will be.

International orders likely will have customs, duties and / or taxes imposed on your shipment, before receiving your package. All of these costs are the customers responsibility. We are required to fill out the forms when we ship your package. We ALWAYS lower the price, near or cost, as to help reduce what may be imposed and charged to our customers.
RETURNS:
Returns are accepted and given full refunds, if the item is returned in the original condition received. Refunds are then authorized and made to the method of payment that was made.
Special Orders, such as the Replica Apollo Suit cannot be cancelled, once ordered. Art Prints, Astronaut Suits and Models once shipped, cannot be cancelled. If returned, there is a 15% restocking fee. All orders older than 30 days that are returned for any reason, are also charged a 10% restocking fee.
