During Gemini 4 Edward White II performed the first American Spacewalk (EVA) while James McDivitt remained inside the capsule named "Little Eva" (unofficial) referring to the first EVA. Launched june 3rd 1965 on a Gemini Titan rocket the mission lasted more than 4 days.
This presentation bears a fragment of the flown Gemini 4 heatshield and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity plus a fact sheet about GT-4.
The source of this heatshield fragment was a larger block of heatshield encased into lucite as a presentation piece given to VIP's and NASA workers as recognition for their work in the space program.
