Odessa Meteorite info: Discovered in 1923, this Texas meteorite fell to earth aproximately 50,000 years ago blasting out a crater over 500 feet across and 75 feet deep. Now the crater is filled with sand and is barely visible between the oil wells and thorn bushes south of the highway outside Odessa.
The Moldavites are from the Czech Republic. Moldavite is a natural glass created from the result of a meteorite fall. It is fused soil or sand from the impact area.
