Item #: MP-PROGRAMGAGNON
Tim Gagnon's Space Shuttle Commemorative "End of Program" Patch THESE ARE SOLD OUT, THEY ARE GONE. Comes with Signed and Numbered COA. Only 250 in existence Florida artist Tim Gagnon entered NASA's Space Shuttle Commemorative "End of Program" patch contest last fall. As an employee of a NASA supplier, Tim was eligible to enter the contest which was open to current or former NASA/Contractor employees. Out of 86 entries received last December NASA chose 15 designs as finalists. Then earlier this year NASA allowed current employees to vote on an internal website to choose their favorite design. While not binding, shuttle program managers endorsed the popular vote and chose a first, second and third place design. All three were uplinked to the STS-130 crew on February 18, 2010 as part of their mission update package from Mission Control. The three entries were then returned to Earth with Endeavour on February 22. Tim was awarded his flown certificate by Shuttle Program Manager John Shannon at the Kennedy Space Center on Saturday, April 3rd following the STS-131 Flight Readiness Review. The Space Store is proud to offer these limited edition patches along with a numbered COA hand-signed by Tim Gagnon. There are only 250 in existence and when they're gone - they're gone. These are a fully embroidered 5" patch that captures the design artwork faithfully. The COA includes a detailed description of the design.
